One of our favourite restaurants. Chicken is wonderful with homemade chips.  Great friendly service. Would recommend that you book your table.

With reading low reviews we were not expecting anything special . We dinned in this restaurant a few years ago and our remembrance was good. On this visit the food was OK and service at first was very good. This all went down hill when receiving the bill  so many mistakes . It was not corrected correctly.  So we worked out what it should of been and left  the correct payment. This also included fork discount.  I recommend you check your bill before making payment. Not a great experience so will not re visit.

A lovely, small restaurant.  Only one person serving but he was excellent. The chicken was delicious as were the spare ribs. The salad was very fresh. The couvert was good, fresh bread (the dark brown bread was delicious), the tuna and carrots tasty.The house white wine was nice.All in all a very pleasant experience.  Thank you.

First visit to the restaurant and we were very impressed with the quality of the food and the service. Will definitely be returning!

Good food at a good price: 23&euro; for a starter, 2 piri piri chickens, and soft drinks. The Chicken was delicious, crispy outside and tender inside. Highly recommended!

We have been coming to Portugal for 20 years and getting to O Casarao most times given its stud as a top piri piri place . It has changed ownership but still in the family and on every level is much much better. Well done to the whole team there for achieving this with no loss of local ambience and authenticity.
